See the searches you already show up for

30 minImpact: criticalEffort: low

Look at the real searches where Google already shows your site, in Google Search Console’s Performance report.

These are not guesses from a keyword tool: they are searches your customers actually typed, where Google already considers you relevant. Phrases with many impressions and few clicks are your quickest wins.

How to do it

  1. 1
    Open Performance → Search results
In Search Console, set the date range to the last 3 months and tick Total impressions, Total clicks and Average position.
  2. 2
    Look at the Queries tab
These are the searches. Sort by Impressions to see what Google shows you for most.
  3. 3
    Mark the quick wins
Phrases with many impressions but a low click-through rate, or an average position between 5 and 20, are close to paying off.
  4. 4
    Export and keep it
Export the list. It is the starting point for your keyword map.
