Add product or service attributes (e.g. "wheelchair accessible")

10 minutes. Impact: medium Effort: low

Attributes are the specific tags on your profile — 'wheelchair accessible', 'free Wi-Fi', 'women-owned', 'offers free estimates'. You set the ones that truly apply to you.

Attributes both inform customers and feed Google's filters — people increasingly search or filter by them, and accurate attributes get you into those results. They're a quick win most businesses ignore.

How to do it

  1. 1
    Open the attributes section
In your profile editor, find 'Attributes' (sometimes under 'From the business' or 'More'). The available list depends on your category.
  2. 2
Check every attribute that genuinely applies
Accessibility, amenities, service options, identity attributes ('veteran-owned', 'women-owned') — turn on the true ones. They show on your listing and in Google's filters.
  3. 3
Highlight the ones customers care about
For a service business, 'offers free estimates', 'online appointments', and accessibility tend to matter most. Make sure those are set if true.
  4. 4
    Revisit when things change
If you add a service option or amenity later, update attributes so they stay accurate.
