Add messaging/call features to profile

Adding the call and messaging features to your Business Profile so customers can phone or text you directly from Google, without leaving the listing.

Every extra step between 'interested' and 'in touch' loses customers. A tap-to-call button and direct messaging capture people at the exact moment of intent — turning a Maps view into a real lead instead of a missed one.

How to do it

    Confirm your phone number is correct
    In your profile, make sure the displayed phone is your best contact line — it becomes the tap-to-call button on mobile.

    Turn on messaging
    In the Business Profile, enable the 'Messages' / chat feature so customers can text you from your listing. You reply from the Google app or Business Profile manager.

    Set expectations for response time
    Messaging shows your typical reply time. Only keep it on if you can respond reasonably fast — a slow reply is worse than no chat.

    Test both
    From your phone, view your listing and try the call button and a test message to confirm they reach you.
